Tempura Makino At Suntec City

If you’re a fan of Japanese food, and you’re looking for an affordable yet premium quality option, you’re in for a treat! With more than 10 outlets in Japan, popular tempura specialty restaurant Tempura Makino is opening their first outlet here in Suntec City!

Tempura Makino Singapore is known for their handcrafted tempura that’s made to order in front of diners. The batter uses the same flour, dashi, and dipping sauce used in Japan, so you’re getting authentic and premium quality tempura at an affordable price.

All a la carte tempura items are priced from $1.50 per piece. Other than the normal tempura options, there’s also tempura influenced by Okinawa such as the Goya Tempura with Okinawan salt ($4.50), and Mozoku Tempura ($5.80).

You’ll also find sets available on the menu such as the Vegetable Tempura Set ($15), and Executive Tempura Bento ($32). Other food items include Daikon Oden ($3.80), Mentai Seaweed ($6.80), and Uni Ohba ($8.80).

As done in Japan, the restaurant will also serve free-flow homemade Yuzu Daikon.

In the coming months, the restaurant plans to launch tempura omakase menus priced below $100. These items will feature seasonal specials and premium ingredients.

The first outlet is set to officially open in Suntec City on 22 September. The second outlet will open in Vivocity the following month, so keep an eye out for it! To celebrate the opening of their first outlet, they will be giving out free tempura eggs to all diners with any order from 22 to 24 September 2021.
