The Neighbourwok is currently run by 34-year-old Kelvin Teo, who only opened his stall last year in June. Despite opening his stall right in the middle of Circuit Breaker, The Neighbourwok has already garnered immense popularity among the Westies. Definitely not an easy feat to achieve! One unique feature about the stall is that they serve satay alongside their Hokkien mee! Most Hokkien mee stalls usually serve other “wok” dishes such as carrot cake and char kway teow, but not for this stall! Kelvin drew inspiration from his father who used to run his own satay stall back in the day and decided to serve it at The Neighbourwok as well.
